Custom made floating bed frame.

Designed and made from an idea drafted on a napkin.

A modern bedroom with a bed topped with dark bedding and pillows, situated against a brick wall with three windows fitted with closed blinds, flanked by lamps on nightstands, and a sitting area with a gray sofa and an upholstered chair.

What makes this design unique is a combination of two features: an inset mattress and a floating frame effect.

So how did that came to life?

After researching and finding no similar design, I spent time thinking how to bring the idea to life—ensuring it’s not only aesthetically pleasing but also structurally rigid and built to last a lifetime.

Once I found the solution, I designed the structure to be easily assembled and taken apart, using four solid side pieces that lock everything into place providing the extra stability. And then jumped into the fabrication process.
